TEAM SLAPPD - 2010 6 HOUR RELAY TEAM. BATHURST

Plus as he likes to be called, get’s his passion for cars from his dad Plino. Ever since he can remember; Plus has been helping out in the garage fixing and playing with cars, now at 23 he has his own cars that he can work on and tweak to his desire! Last year at the island he managed to do a best time of 2:02 with nothing else changed on the car Plus shaved 4 seconds of his best time doing an unofficial 1:58.61 this year at the relay his aim is to try and get as close as possible to the illegal time!

Being the first time Andy has competed going straight through corners he is looking forward to the 6 Hour Relay.. Andy’s competition experience comes from being a sweet drifter! He has competed at many Drift events and has alway finished the day with personal bests… his best result was winning Drift Battle in 2007 at Winton, Andy also is an avid Bush Basher, he has a Ford Maverick which he has modified for the rugged terrain, it’s also used as his tow vehicle for the Drift car!

Peter
is a mild mannered corporate doctor by day , with two kids and 2
cats to entertain. Having a father who was at GM for 35 years help
feed the car bug which progressed to running a car or two around race
tracks for fun and an outlet.

Plino has had many years of mechanical experience starting out at a young age he did lots of rally events in his home Country; Kenya. When Plino moved to Australia in the early 70’s he had to fulfil his racing passion and continue rallying in Australia… he has been a qualified mechanic for many years with his specialty being early model Alfa Romeo’s and BMW’s… his passion continues for motor sport as he and Son Placcido build up the Nissan Bluebird that will be competing in the 6 hour relay.
